Division 7: TDW Nomads II vs TPD II
G4S League Week 12: Saturday 26th January 2008
Location: THT
Time K.O.: 5:10pm

It was a short game coz TPD came late. This was the revenage match to TPD II. We all remembered that the first match was lost to them by 0 – 38.

At the beginning of the match, we had a very good start by concentration and all of you showing that we were aggressive to the ball. We didn’t miss any tackle at the first half. It showed our defense doing much better. The score was 0 – 0.

The second half started, TPD II seemed tired coz of their first game at PBS. Our attacking point focused on the forward, we cleared the rucks quick and protection of the ball was good. Not many penalty in this match compared with the previous matches. The line-out was also good and we won a lot from their line-out too. Finally, MoMo took the chance and scored.

Norbert ran through the gap and reached the try line but unfortunately the ref said it wasn’t a try… Norbert, get another one in the next match! ^^

We still have training on next Monday and there are three more matches for the II. The next one will be against Guns & Hoses at THT on 16/2

Final Result : 5 -0

Scorer : MoMo

Happy new year to all of you, enjoy the hoilday!

Cheers,
Wo Chai

G4S Div 4: TDW Nomads I vs DEA III - 26/01/2008
Division 4: TDW Nomads I vs DEA III
G4S League Week 12: Saturday 26th January 2008
Location: THT
Time K.O.: 3:30pm

Lads,

Congrats on a good win on Saturday.

We started off well with a try from Goldfish but then let DEA back into the game soon after by losing the ball and allowing them to counter attack.

We pulled one back to go into the lead agin but on our next attack tried a chip and chase which allowed them to counter once agin through their large but quick flanker. After stopping his trundle down the pitch they went blind off the ruck and scored near the posts.

On a wet and cold day we should have been keeping the ball in hand and using the forwards more. We changed our game play to reflect this and had 2 balls "held up" in the next 15 minutes.

We got a couple more tries through Will and Nic before halftime. Towards the end of the first half Will put a tackle in on their 12 year old centre, who ducked into it, causing the ref to sin bin Will for a high tackle.

The second half started well and we played more good rugby with tries from Nic, Matt B and Kelvin.

Calvin put over all 3 conversion attempts with those plus Kelvin's one making the final score 48-12.

Try scorers:

Will x 2
Matt B x 2
Nic x 2
Goldfish
Kelvin

Working it out from last weeks table we should be out of sight in the league i.e. we're top and mathmatically no one can catch us.

I'll confirm whether we're champs later today once the new table comes out.

Well done everyone.

Training tonight at KP 1930.

G4S Div 7: TDW Nomads II vs Valley MaJais - 10/01/2008
Division 7: TDW Nomads II vs Valley MaJais
G4S League Week 10: Saturday 10th January 2008
Location: HV
Time K.O.: 4:30pm

Mates,

Sorry for the late match report.

Firstly, I have to say that I am really proud of our team. We played a good game on last Sat, especially the last quarter!

The first quarter was ok seems we were testing each others with Valley. A little bit messy during defense because of too many players got into the ruck, and this made a chance to Valley led us by 0 – 7.

The second try of the match was also come from Valley but they couldn’t get any afterward. The tempo was controlled by Valley in the rest of the first half. The score was 0 – 12 then the referee blew the whistle.

Thanks for all first team-mates gave advice to us during the half time also I decided to off coz my leg was seriously injured. Calvin Xiao became no.9, Nic, Ku, Kit Ku, Angus were in to lead us in the field. Nic scored in the third quarter and I ensured that this try was the most important one in this match. Tim got the 2 conversion points by drop but not using the tea. What a great kick! 7 – 12.

After the last water break, the amazing fourth quarter began. Jacky were in the field after recovered. The tempo of the match was controlled by us. Winger Tak did some good kicks just beside the touch line at the 22 of Valley. Angus did a fast line-out past and Sai Ho finally tried it. The situation was changed 180 degrees. 14 – 12! The Props Sing and MoMo liked the sea waves and did a series of “pick up and go”. Sing scored the third one and the match would be ended within 10 mins. Everyone shouted after hearing the long whistle. The Final Score is 19 – 12.

Try Scorers:
Nic
Sai Ho
Sing

AND….Welcome back, Jacky!!

P.S. This is the longest match report coz I was just watching the second half outside the field ^^” Also I can’t play in the next 2 or 3 games because of the right leg injury and need for a long rest, very sorry about that.

Both teams are at the top of the table now! Let’s try our best running towards the championship. I will try my best to get well soon and I hope to stay in the field with you guys in the last match.

To II’s mates:

Please reply the e-mail and let us know you are available or not of the training and the match. This will be better to decide the game plan. Thanks!

Keep it UP, Nomads!

Cheers,

Wo Chai
