The Grand Championships Final in Division 2

March 9, 2011
Dear all

This Saturday will be a big day for Nomads because our first team have successful got into the Grand Championships Final in Division 2. This is a good opportunity to get a great result in Division 2. We have a good team, good players and good coach, but we unfortunately are missing supporters or cheerleaders to support us. Here is the our chance to invite all of our old/current players, their wives/girl friends, there family and friends, or someone who have been involved in Nomads before, etc to support our first team against Kowloon in the Grand Championships Final on this Saturday (12/3) at King's Park. The kick off time will start at 4:30, so please come there as soon as you can. And also we are planning to sit on the opposite stand of the King’s park clubhouse. If you have any kind of Nomads shirts, please wear it. If not please wear the red or green shirt to support our team. See you there. We need all of you to support nomads.

p.s. please forward this message to your friends or some one involved in Nomads before.

Cheers

Chris Lin

A Maverick Choice

November 9, 2010

Nomads are pleased to announce a new name for what were previously Nomads 2........’Nomads Mavericks’. The choice of name was decided by the players themselves at a ballot on Monday night and was the unanimous winner. The name comes into effect immediately. Mavericks’ coach Wo Sin said ‘we feel this name reflects us as a team. We try and play with flair and have fun and are made up of players from lots of different countries and with many different backgrounds’ Club Captain Craig Wilson further enthused ‘It is a great name for the team. It really does sum them up. They’re not the most predictable players to put it mildly, sometimes things come off, sometimes they don’t but what is important is that they are out there giving it a go and enjoying themselves. The Clubs four teams are Nomads playing in Div 2, Macau Nomads in Div 3, Nomads Mavericks in Div 4 and Nomads Development in the Development Division.

October 28, 2010
Over the last few weeks, Nomads RFC have had some new additions to the club!

Jacky and Karen had a little boy by the name of Callum. Our now Tokyo bound Frenchies, Aude and Matthieu, had a little girl named Camille and last but not least Matt Bentley and Edwina have just had baby Owen.

It looks as if the 2028/29 season is going to be a good year for Nomads!!

On behalf of all at Nomads RFC, congratulations!

MOM Awards- Nomads V CWB Sharks

October 4, 2010
3 Points- Paul

Paul was a thorn in the CWB Sharks side throughout the game. Paul made numerous line break which resulted in Nomads tries. On top of this, his defence was huge and bulk at the ruck was a massive asset. Paul showed what a key member of the team he is.

2 points- Chris

Scored a fantastic individual try as well as make key line breaks. His open play running skills played a huge part in the last Nomads try. Also made a great try saving tackle in the first half. If Chris can keep this form up he will surely score more tries.

1 point- Garrett

Garrett had a great pre season and has carried his form into the league campaign. Always causing the opposition problems with his tackling and counter rucking. Garrett is never afraid to put his head in somewhere that hurts. Massive player for the team due to his high work rate and effort.
