Greetings Nomads,

We are writing to you with news on two big social events coming up.

Firstly, this year we have decided to give out awards for the season at a special event on Sunday the 20th of April at the Indian Club at 1pm. Awards for both teams will be awarded including top try scorer, player of the year, most improved, rookie of the year, clubman, dick of the season as well as a few more we will save for the day. Those players who are selected for awards will recieve a trophy with their names engraved for a memento of the occasion. The price will be 140 dollars each and all wives, fiances, girlfriends and partners are most welcome. For all of those who have played for the Nomads this season please try and get along as this event should be a celebration of a great season for both teams. We look forward to seeing you all there.

The next event we would like to inform you of is the anual union dinner at 25th of april! On this night of nights the Nomads will be recieving trophies for our sevens win as well as winning our division this year. Usually tickets are 600 dollars each which includes all drinks and a three course meal. However, this year we would like to offer the tickets for 150 dollars per head. This is a fantastic saving and well worth the money. Of course it will be on a first come first serve basis but we would like to give preference to playing members of the club as well as their wives, girlfriends, partners fiances etc. It would be a cracking night if we could get everyone there to celebrate our season in style. As we need to let the union know how many tables we require can you please let either myself or Nic know by Friday if you are coming and who you will be bringing with you. If you do not get back to us by Friday we will assume that means you are not interested in coming. Once again, this will be a supurb night if everyone gets along to support the Nomads great season.

No game this weekend for either team. We have a bye. No game next week as it's CNY - 2 week break.

Wednesday there is no training as Junior will not be there.

We're looking at a night out at the races at Happy Valley (CWB). Beer garden as usual, cheap beer, cheap food. see you there around 1900.

If you have ordered tickets for the Hong Kong 7s please pay your deposit if you have not done so yet. The deposit is half the price of the tickets, so $540 for 1 adult ticket and $150 for 1 children's ticket. The deposit can be made directly to the Nomads HSBC bank account (546-058827-001) or to one of the committee members. If you choose a bank transfer remember to show us the transfer slip. Anyone going to practice tomorrow can pass along their deposit then or also at the game on Saturday to Iain or Jacky. If there are any question feel free to let me know.
