About Nomads R.F.C
Nomads have been based in Mong Kok since 1985 and the club has grown exponentially whilst moving up through the Hong Kong divisions. Two years ago Nomads RFC made the decision to develop and expand, embarking on a journey to join the existing six "big" clubs at the elite end of Hong Kong rugby. After a lot of hard work by many people we have firmly established ourselves as a competitive club in the upper end of division two. Nomads will field four (4) grade teams in the Hong Kong Second Division competition in 2010/11, with approximately 150 registered players. We play 20 games throughout the season with the 2010/11 season kicking off on Saturday 7th August, where Nomads will be hosting ‘Nomads Day 2010’. This day will not only kick off the Nomads season but be used as a platform to launch a number of exciting new initiatives the club has been working on.
Nomads RFC train twice a week, Monday and Wednesday nights, at kings park (see image opposite). Training is taken by Head Coach Steve Jones and assistant coaches Craig Wilson and Stephen Dowse. Anyone is welcome to come along to training and will be put in the relevant ability groups for sessions to ensure maximum benefit to the indicidual and team. | ![]() |
